• Horse play.....it's a fancy drss shop but if you are looking crazy things like stripy tights for you girlfriend or something entirely stoopid for a party.....

• Girls: Surf Dive 'n' Ski, 30 Degrees, Warehouse, Kookai, Morgan, Miss Selfridge, Topshop, Murphys, Axle, Various Department Stores (check out 'Voisins' and 'De Gruchy'), French Connection
• Primo Skateshop, Broad Street, St Helier Labels include Dope, Savier, Addict, Droors, Shoes by Savier, DVS, Circa, Lakai,Es, Etnies
• Jacks especially in the sale season. Whitestuff, etc.
• dive and ski,freedom and sea flight are all owned by same guy so no need to visit all 3! laneez in st Brelades is seperate and is pretty cheap
• murphys and rock island are worth checking out.the surf shops have good stuff but watch out for the designer shops they are wll expensive compared to uk/us shops
• Surf Dive n Ski Earth wind n water Freedom Bona Togs
• Decent clothes shops in town include Rock Island, Axel and Surf Dive and Ski, which is the main skate shop on the island (although there is a surf shop called Freedom on the east side of the island that also sells decks and threads).
• Top Shop, Top Man, Next, etams, Miss Selfridge, Tammy Girl, Burtons, Mother Earth, Evans
• Some pretty exclusive shops if you are in to designer labels! Also all the usual High Street names. Freedom, Dive & Ski and Earth Wind & water are very good surf shops stocking good range of clothing.

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)

• The Arts centre has a constantly changing gallery of work by local artists. Some decent shops include Serendipity and The Art shop.

• wh smith have huge magazine selction, so does pickwicks 2 doors down.
• No one has a sense of humour ..

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
