• Dawn French came from Plymouth :D Sir Frances Drake
• No-one has mentioned Robert Falcon Scott (Scott of the Antarctic) despite the fact that there is fucking great statue of him just up from the Hoe.
• Donald Sinden.
• Gus Honeybun. He rocked! Ian Stirling - what an old lush! Larry Speare - he'll sell you anything and you can take it away today!
• John Harding/Ivor Biggun-Professional Wrestler who wrestled a couple of matches for TWA and All Star back in 2002 and hasn't been since. Dan Joyce-From the legendary MTV show Dirty Sanchez. He may be one of the most famous people from Plymouth because apparentley the show is big in South America. Big up to him. Trevor Francis-Legendary footballer, this man really should be knighted. Micky Evans-Former Republic Of Ireland international, now has his own building firm with his mate "Dazzling" Darren Page. Dan Davies-Made an arse out of himself on MTV Select in front of Billie Piper when he said that he had a wrestling match with his cousins.

• Charles Dance the actor and director. Dawn French, Wayne Sleep, Sue Lawley, Sharron Davies the swimmer and Sue Barker (Cliff Richard's ex!) the tennis player.
• Michael Antonucci...he won 2.8 million on the lottery...a wicked man that had a lot of bad press he didnt deserve.
• Plymouth's heyday was about 400 years ago! Sir Francis Drake, the pilgrim fathers and Captain Cook all set sail from Plymouth on their famous voyages.

• Now, there is a lovely lady called Sue Torr, who is now an MBE. She wrote the play Shout It Out, and it was a wonderful piece of writing! Sue is one of our best local celebrities, who has done such stirling work to promote Adult Education in the area!
• err, Will Young went to Exeter! ok i know its not Plymouth but he may have been here! And my friends boyfriends aunty is a Tweeny.
• Chris Parsonage is now a famous businessman in Plymouth. He has sucessfully brought the C1 World Offshore Powerboat Championship to Plymouth in a multi pound deal. He's now on the Television more often then Corry!
• Dawn French is from Plymouth! she's the well known funny actress on our screnes today. she attended Notre Dame school

• Local hero: Fred Binney. Ex-profesional Footballer. Leading scorer for the old 3rd division 3 years in a row, and has scored more league goals than Kevin keegan!
• Dawn French would-be comedienne old girl of St Dunstans Abbey Plymouth, wife of funny guy Lenny Henry. Proof if ever there was one that Plymouth girls come in king-cup size! Angela Rippon the one who's legs were famous for appearing with Morecambe & Wise many years ago. Another vintage old-girl of Plymouth. Judi Spiers who's family spend their time surrounded in "jewels"! Local jewellers. Judi of course rose to fame on the local TV network, with GUS Honeybun. (Now that was a famous Plymothian!)
• Cherry Blackwell- officially the best looking girl in Plympton.

Buskers, Street Entertainers

• Every Christmas there's the man who strums by the Sundial with far too much of that reverb pedal he's got - local mums just stand there in a sort of daze watching him pluck along to a lame backing track and still buy his home made CDs... TOO MUCH REVERB!!! Oh - and the strange man/woman thing that sells the local rag in the town centre by screaming an indecipherable holler every 5 minutes whilst sitting in a wooden cubicle
• Lots of Crap ones!
• Outside Millennium every night a tramp called the spoon man entertains the freezing crowd cueing up to get in, he walks a long the line playing the spoons and smaking them against his small privates, a wiked dude who never fails to get a good reception.
• The green zig zag bridge between Frankford gate and Pavillions
• The guitar playing, Bryan Adams sounding guys under the subways. The drunks are worth a look too. The God Squad in the middle of town by the sundial. Also the people who put soap powder in the fountain are a right laugh!
• SHOULD ALL BE LOCKED AWAY ESPECIALLY THE ONES THAT PAINT THEMSELVES WHITE AND THE CRAZY PREACHING GANG
• Crazy guitarists in subways. Sometimes street entertainment in the city centre by Virgin Records.
