Sports Clubs and Facilities

Aikido lessons and special courses at the Houghton Sports Complex with the Hagakure Aikido Club. Mon & Wed 20:30-22:00, Sat 10:30-12:30 (children) and Sat 12:30-14:00. For more info please visit our website on www.hagakureaikidodojo.co.uk
Houghton Sports Complex now offers a wide range of sports facilities, but it doesn't have a pool, Hetton Sports Centre is the nearest place to swim. I do hear now that Houghton Kepier has been made into a Sports College they will be getting a pool in, that might open to the public. They are building an astro turf there at the moment.

The rugby club has a couple of games on a week, which the girls from Dairy Lane (not mentioning any names) like to go to to have a good stare. Houghton sports centre which is where the local yobs go to drink outside of it on a Monday night with their bottles of cider.
Lamby Lamb Chops' sports shop is class, go see him cos I think he gets bored sometimes, he sells all kinds of stuff, like cricket bats
Eppleton Fc, although not a Houghton name the team is made up of houghton players/legends. play at houghton keiper school and legends such as sid, wally, knighty etc.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
