BMX Trails, Street Spots
I don;t know aboout BMX trails, but if you want a decent bike ride you can go up to the Dene, which is just off Gillas Lane, and ride down to Hetton Bogs and back, that'll tire you out! It's a good place to walk the dog or the kids too, theres horses up there.
Right,I am da expert of houghton live near there best place for me so listen up yo...Outside the church in the ''centre'' of houghton, some nice seats bunnyhop level only problem is there is holes in them. Also round this area is plenty of flatland-only problem is coffin dodgers getting the bus.Around the church is big concrete walls these are ideal to ride off.You have enough time to do barspin/X-up.Across from the church is a circle which has plants in.This has like quarter pipe edges all around ideal for foo-foo's ,using pegs or generally messing about on.Just up from there is a railing stopping you from accessing the road. There is a lovely flat bank there. As you approach the Bethany church you will pass a set of 4 steps these are very nice to jump and it looks hot when you hot them-WATCH OUT FOR CARSlol. When you get to Bethany jus diside what you wanna ride.Plenty there at Bethany look out for bible bashers though swarming with them-lush steps there though, very nice.In Houghton park(if you get lost jus ask a local they will direct you). This is were most of the non chavs hang out although at night it is allll chavs so make scarce! Some lovely dirt jumps or should i say one absolutely georgous dirt kicker ramp! There is a childrens park at the back of houghton park this is your average park but with a twist-there is no-1 guarding therefore you can ride down the slide which is proper mint lol sounds sad but trust me ull get a thrill!Nice steps outside houghton kepier school although i doubt u ll be able to jump them all at once lol its like a set of 22.Last spot on the outskirts of houghton -pretty hard to find you will pass houghton rugby club.keep following the footpath and u will hit the road- the path stops here and goes into like a hilly small skinny field which goes along the road for a while some lush jumps here-very hard to find some of them but when you do its worth it-trust me i bin riding the streets for a while in houghton-if u get lost ask the locals-no SKATEPARKS yet-go to sk8city(silksworth),herrington park, blast, coxhoe have fun - bmx boy
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
