Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

  • now cleopatras nightclub is no more, there isnt anywhere else that is as good. ceasers palace is ok. 2de nightclub plays much better music although it isnt as big as ceasers. there are many fun pubs with small dancefloors and free entry.
  • Palladium has live music nights and some are cool!
  • Well, well, well... Cheesy Parts is still the best place to go... NAY, the only place to go. They should be done for holding a monopoly like Microsoft were. Of course there is 2DE (Used to be Stallones, but has taken on the trend of using the postcode as its name... which only works in cities and large towns... oh dear). There's always Revolution, and no that's not the chain Vodka Revolution, just a poor and oddly designed piece of shit with a DJ who spins his CD's like no-one else in East-the-Water, great stuff!!
  • Went to Chesses Palace on Sat 19 Nov, what a place. More cheese , both music and bodily than anywhere i have ever been!!! Some of the most inbread people I've ever seen! But what a great night! Talk place and people witha pinch of salt!
  • THE LAST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH AT CEASERS PALACE WEST COAST SOUL; A NIGHT OF HIP HOP SOUL FUNK IN ONE ROOM AND RAWKUS PUNK N SKA NROCK NROLL BANDS IN THE OTHER THE BEST THING THATS HAPPEND TO BIDI PERIOD!!!!!!
  • 2DE nightclub is the new name for stallones nightclub. its the same place but modernised. Its got a chrome/mirror thing going on. still has better djs than anywhere else in town. Also has Legend nights with trevor rockliffe which are well worth a look. the toilets are 100% better than they were when it was stallones. Ceasers palace is still the same. They should modernise that place. it's just a cattle market. DJs need some lessons from 2de's dj's. another place called Revolutions is open. it used to be called route 66. Its weird in there. weird set up. its seating is all down one side. its like a waiting room. not for me. so, after checking out the nightlife in Bideford. me and my mates reckon 2DE ( stallones) is the best place if you have any kind of cred,if not, its gotta be cheeesers(i mean caesers).
  • Fucking clubs??? It's rumoured that Caesers had a total of 9 pubic hairs on the main dance floor last week!!
  • Ceasears - its as dodgy as hell but alright for a laugh.
  • Stallones is probably the best music-wise. The clientele isn't exactly brilliant but most of the dodgy ones are too off their face to care about you so that's OK! Look out for Darcy - mad Liverpudlian who's a right laugh!
  • Cheesers. Ok if your pissed and with tons of mates so you can laugh at all the dickheads.
  • Stallones Nightclub has had downstairs turned into a pub with Karaoke and live bands. Upstairs though is still as it was, but a good night out with decent doorstaff and dj's which makes a change for bideford. Would be nice to have cocktails and stuff though.
  • best club has to be cheezers.... Ceasars for anyone thats not local. Its the only club slightly woth going to and if your a bloke your bound to poll some slag wearing nothing more than a belt. Look out for Emily. She wear flip flops, a brat top and a belt she calls a skirt. She has blonde hair. Nothing wrong with her.....she likes to show her flesh a lot and get a bit of air between her legs
  • Cheeser's Penis by Jubilee Square is frequented by Bideford's thriving twat population.
  • Stallones nightclub ages 18 - 35 cheap drinks every thursday and friday, big screen, great atmosphere
  • Caesars Palace Has now opened an extension called Pharoh's Stays open till 2am and is the place to be at the weekend
  • Caesars Crevice er I mean Palace opened in the old Kings Arcade last summer, which isn't bad for a club in a small place Like Bideford.

Live Music Venues

  • LOts of pubs now having bands, even Metal Nights in The Tavern on Bridge Street and of course West COast Soul specialise in surf and other xtreme sports
  • Palladium
  • ONCE AGAIN CEASERS (LAST THURSDAY OF THE MONTH) OR PALADIUM ON A TUESDAY NIGHT JAM NIGHT
  • palladium club opposite 2DE
  • Try The Blacksmiths Arms, Torrington street, they have bands every Friday/Saturday, are open till 1am on these days, they also have a fantastic menu, and are kid friendly, last but not least, the beer is served full of flavour and by friendly locals!!!!
  • Bideford has a huge music scene, only last week in the Portobello Coldplay supported the Rolling Stones to a sell out crowd of 2 men and a dead dog!Local music is shit, can anyone remember The James Gang? they were good!
  • The Palladium Club, in lower gunstone (opp Stallones) Usually every Friday and Saturday (check out gigs page www.palladiumclub.co.uk)
  • If you want to see some good, local liev music in bideford, I either suggest the Palladium club, or the joiners arms.
  • Palladium
  • Palladium has live acts most weeks. Look out for Cade - they've just moved to London to see what they can do!
  • Palladium club is the only place worthy of the title 'music venue' in Bideford.
  • the palladium it cheap as well
  • Stallones Nightclub has Live Bands and Karaoke friday nights downstairs and its FREE to get in which is great news for me!! Also, the Palladium Club has live bands every weekend.
  • Asylum is a pretty cool place for live bands. Look out for 'Wench Face'. They are a punk band who are really fucking good and have some good looking guys in it to for the gals!!!
  • The Joiners Arms near the Market is good for live music, (plus the occaisional lock-in!!)
  • There is a Blues Club where anyone can plug in and play along, or just listen to the music, at The All Seasons Inn, Bridgeland Street every Monday night 10pm till 1am. Now in its 8th Year! Also... Karaoke every Sunday with Martin King of Lantern FM at The Puffing Billy, Torrington 8pm till 11.30pm.

Cinemas

  • Scott Central in Barnstaple - no choice but to travel 10 miles if you want to see anything
  • There is an occasional cinema at the Bideford College Theater www.bidefordfilmsociety.org.uk not the best cinema in the world, but if you dont want to travel to Barnstaple or Torrington it'l do
  • the only cinema in bideford is bideford collage cinema
  • torrington has a small one but barnstaple now has a mulitscreen
  • Bideford College Cinema is not run by teachers - it is run by volunteers -AND WE NEED MORE!! All ages welcome.
  • There isn't really any decent cinemas around here. You'd be best off travelling to Barnstaple instead.
  • Biddy College.
  • there was a cinama but it has shut down due to bad money management
  • Cinemas?? IN bideford??? Last time i checked the one at Bideford college had shut down and ill be fucked if i know another one. If its a film you wanna see......dont come here
  • Bideford College Theatre is the only school I've herd of with its own cinema screen. Going there to watch a film is a bit like going to school as it is run by Teachers who treat the paying customers like their pupils.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Bideford. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Bideford.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
