• The Portuguese restaurant is fantastic, the chef and his wife are really top folks!
• The Chinese in River street. How much of the food gets thrown away by drunks with eyes bigger than thier already bloated bellies?
• Dominoes Cafe opposite Curio Corner, selling great coffee,tea,sandwiches,baguettes,pasties all in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere!!!!!!!
• Don't dare go to Wit's End - you will OD on M People and be choked by the smell of basil. Go to the fudge shop. And FOR YUMMY food, go to Mr.Bistro
• The Central Cafe take away or eat in. Lots of fish and chip shops around, after all it is a fishing village!!
• This record started life as a home for a mention for the Rainbow Restaurant, which deserves some kind of award for the most friendly waitress of the year, 1996. I don't think I've ever been made to feel so welcome -- and we arrived just before they were about to stop serving, too. Wonderful. Oh, and to be fair: the food was excellent too.

• Cellar with that annoying parrot- and theres far too many locals in Meva they should circulate more so they don't have the same conversations week-in week-out.

Cafes and Coffee Shops

• TasteBuds Cafe. Opposite curio corner. Great coffee, breakfasts, light lunches and evening meals. Now enjoy a glass of wine or a bottle of cold beer with our new evening menu. Pop in and see chris and the crew for a friendly atmosphere and pleasant service. Its a must!!!!!!
• Dominoes Cafe now changed names to Taste Buds Cafe. Licensed premises with a new evening menu to be launched at easter. Also open in the old market house st Austell is Taste Buds Cafe/Take-Away

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
