Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains
Woollen Mill (behind Methodist Church) now closed.
Flaunt is still open.
Axle and Murphy's, both on Bath St (I think it was called) off the square with the new cow statues. Axle is extremely expensive, but has a good range of the label stuff you can't find in a lot of places in the UK either, but then Murphy's is extremely cheap on clothes, with brands ranging from Lambretta to Religion and all things funky. Three floor little shop, both for men and women.
Not many, unless you are a lady. Two 'boutique' type shops at the bottom of the Rue de Croquet (High Street). The Boathouse (Battrick's) has a good range of 'nautical' clothing etc. Neptune, Wild & Woolly and also Flaunt - all at the bottom of the High Street - sell good quality clothing at good quality prices. Neptune also sells clothing for the male of the species. Further down the harbour - Quai de Bisson - you will find the Summerland outlet shop - also good value. Battrick's (Boatyard) - as mentioned before - sells clothing and shoes in addition to the chandlery type goods and gifts.
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
pukka
Various shops in & around the bottom of High Street
Pukka art galleries don't exist on the island of Jersey. Sorry! Craft shops? Best one is Jersey Pottery in Gorey.
Gallery, art, craft, gifts etc can be found along the harbour Wall (past the Methodist Church). Also clothing in the Woollen Mill and similar (in the little street behind the Church). Worth a visit. Various outlets can be found in St. Aubin. In Quai de Bisson (behind the Methodist Church in the Harbour) you will find Abracadabra (crafts). In the little cul-de-sac at the bottom of the High Street you will find the Gallery, a studio (crafts) and Swags & Tails, which is furnishings et al. They are all well worth a visit.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
