Skateboarding Spots

  • New skate bowl thing being built at the Princess May Rec cost a fortune,
  • st just skatepark is proving to be quite amazing check out the local talent look out for luke waterhouse.
  • Jubilee Pool, on the promenade - A few good ledges, four-set, large two-set and various ollies on the rare occasiions when the pool is empty. Wheelchair ramps (right by the pool), skate over the top, or off the sides. Humphry Davy school - Assorted, steps 6, 10, 13, some benches round the back and a wall into a slope. Loads of spots dotted along the seafront (just walk across and you will see them.) Its not really a very big place, so just have a wonder around and you will find stuff.
  • Wherrytown skate park. Hope those involved designing & building keep up the maintenance.
  • Just by the No Skate Boarding sign in the Harbour Car Park.
  • There is a new skatepark on the waterfront in pz. it has a wide mini vert and a small street section with a good ledge and some rails
  • There is now a skateboard area with a big semi-circular dippy thing to skate up and down and several rails which I think people are meant to jump over on their skateboards. It's opposite the Co-op, Jewson's and Lidl (all shops with very small frontages), on the seafront between Newlyn and Penzance
  • FINALLY A NEW SKATE PARK WITH A HALF PIPE! AFTER YEARS OF CAMPAIGNING AND LETTERS TO THE COUNCIL, WE HAVE DONE IT AT LAST. THERE IS A 6 FOOT HALF PIPE, FUN BOX, D RAILS, NORMALL RAILS,GRIND BOXES. SOON TO BE ADDED IS A BOWL AND A PYRAMID. OTHER PLACES TO SKATE IS AROUND THE TOWN(UNLESS TOLD OFF BY THE COPS) ALONG THE PROMINADE, CAR PARK, A COUPLE OF SLIP RAMPS OR WHATEVER YOU CAN FIND REALLY

  • Just car parks and stuff.

Skateboard Shops

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Penzance. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Penzance.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
