Record Shops
plymouth again!
Although there are no music shops (it is a small village). The town of Plymouth is only a bus and ferry ride away.
You can get the Cremyll ferry which will take you on the sceneic route across and only costs a pound each way.
With Gerald or Cocky driving you'll be there in no time. If not - then Millbrook hosts some great live bands and entertainment!!
Millbrook has only one decent shop (spar) and its not because its so good, probably something to do with the shear choice, Spar or CoOp!!!
Erm.......Well the Co-oP sells a few CD's but it nothing special. There is alot of CD people in millbrook though.
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
rising sun in cawsand is ok i suppose if your into local bands this is about the most exciting around.
Clubs......
Well - the nearest you are going to get in Millbrook is to catch up with me and Nic for the usual smoke and dance
party in the infamous pool room!! However - we have the Devon and Cornwall pub which hosts 'jam night' on a Tuesday evening,
you will also get live music from the delights of bands such as 'Mor' or 'Angels versus Aliens' - 'The Black Foot Brothers' -
resident DJ 'Gert Biggun' and much more........
Sweaty Tights if ur really drunk and dont have a clue what your doing! Theres usually loads a matlows there so pulling is no problem even for the ugliest of us around because there's obvioulsy no sexy gals in millbrook!!!!!!!! (-eh Andy we'll remember that next time!!!)
The Social on Oxford street is my local club but as for that area it would have to be Jelly Jaz on the Barbican.
The Millbrook football club is the closest thing, it has a bar and holds cabaret style evenings.
Live Music Venues
Not only do we have the pubs - but we also have Millbrook Festival - which is a fest of beer, green and live music.
Plus stalls and events for (mainly the kids) throughtout the day. Muusic goes on till about 11pm.
Also we have Maker festival!! Which is such a wicked even. This year it runs from the 8th till the 11th of August. 4 days camping,
involving 4 nights of music and the days filled will arts, crafts and entertainment. Quality location and a wicked chance to let your hair down!!
the marks been quite good these days
The D+C, ferryman Charly's band. Yar yar or something?????? The Devon and Cornwall owned by Mo whose son recently got married in Woolwich and it was a top pissup!!!!!
The millbrook football club and the DEVON + CORNWALL pub. They host locals like PETE STANIFORTH, PILEDRIVER and MEN OVER BOARD (GET ON!!!)
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
