Skateboarding Spots

  • Everyone is forgetting the legendary Grove park! it has it all. Curbs, concrete the works. But seriously, no one has mentioned Trevol Business Park aka the fish factory: 5ft drop, gaps for ollies and flips, sketchy manual pads and gravel gaps. Have fun.
  • THE LAWNS IS ALWAYS A GOOD PLACE TO SEE TONY HUDSON HURTING HIMSELF TRYING TO DO SOME EASY TRICK THAT THE 8YR OLDS ARE DOING.MAYBE DISLOCATING HIS ELBOW.THIS WOULD'NT BE SO BAD.BUT HES 26.........YEARS OLD..... DISCO AT HIS TONITE...............
  • Outside the grumpy old mans house in the Harvey street (smackhead) flats. Tall three set.
  • The skate park. it's only fun one day a year (in september) when there is a skate and bmx competition which basically is just a good excuse to get wasted whilst in the company of some damn sexy people!
  • The skate park obviously but its v. shit. The waxed curb from Londis, another waxed curb near the park near the beaver hut. Thats pretty well hid but some cunts wrote BLADERS RULE on the pavement. Carbeile shool has got some 4 sets, flat-banks varying in height and the higher bit is as smooth as it gets. Its also got a cool pool feature wots always ends in a 50-50 or agony.Skating here though is risky as the cops always drive by. The thee 4-sets in a row down by harvey street flats but watch out for grumpy, bearded old men in them.
  • its gotta be the waxed up curb near londis, down harvey street flats and junior school. But look out for the cops, there always driving around.
  • harvey street flats, waxed curb by old person home, go on a hike to trevol road by raleigh for load of five sets. Saltmill in saltash is good
  • skate park...the waxed curb up from londis...sennen close park...the council flats by the ferry
  • Their is a new sk8 park down the lawns, it is a little sh*t at the moment but it should be getting done up soon. New3 mini ramp and re-surfacing the other ramps.
  • A good skate park has just opened down the lawns but nearby millbrook has one too. The lawns also has a basketball pitch.
  • carbelie school as mentioned before all the same as before except there is a skatepark (laugh) bowly corner thing a funbox a 1/4 +little shits
  • Torpoint youth center
  • Carbeile school the set of Four steps and banks of varying sizes + flower bed to ollie. Round the back there are lots of benches of many sizes BE AWARE when skating here its an almost certain bust. Gateway has curbs, manual blocks, a bottle bank and a bent rail. Round the back there is a very nice bank to wall but you get kicked off real quick, best skated at night. The nearby Doctors surgery has a small bank. The Triangle has a sketchy monument to grind, walls to ollie and small walls to drop. the harvey street flats have four sets of steps but scum will kick you of unless hes down the pub. The Library has nice pavement gaps and walls to sk8. The Ferry lanes are the most frequented haunt at the moment large walls, and a large pavement gap also big blocks to skate. Salamanca flats have good, low handrails but with limited run up. The Siixth form has a large step
  • Carbeile School has steps , banks and benches and loads of flat land. The triangle has a monument with block of varying size and length, but limited run up. Walls to ollie but watch out for the cars. Library has a good pavement gap. The ferry lanes have curbs, large blocks and a massive pavement gap. What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Torpoint. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Torpoint.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
