Food

  • There are loads of take aways chinees indian you name it thats what cullompton has is loads of take aways.
  • Mickey D'S (THERE IS A GOD)
  • We have 6 takeaways in Cully. And many of the pubs also serve food. BIG NEWS--- We're getting McDonalds!!!! You may laugh but this is a huge step forward in to the 21st century for Cullompton!!

Pubs

  • OK well a little update, there are STILL no clubs in good old cully and to be honest the pubs still aren't much cop either. The Weary Traveller once offering a late license, heaving on a sat night is now extremely quiet and as far as i'm aware now shuts at 11 on weekends. The Kings Head no longer hold their disco's so the choices are mainly the Manor or The Market. All i can say is pick the bones outta them. The manor offers cheap drinks....all good u might think....but not necessarily!!! The music is ok but very much cheesey pop and unfortunately the atmosphere leaves little to be desired. The Market, again fairly poor offers similar music..somtimes some old geezers sing live and thats about it!!
  • Pubs are ok they get a good crowed on the weekends especially the market house in and the kings head.
  • The Manor seems to be the favourite although there are over 7 pubs, you can purchase alcohol from over 12 venues in the town. Think about it. Start from Toad Hall and work your way up (Padbrook, Rugby Club etc)
  • There are 7 pubs in Cully plus 5 other drinking spots, footie club etc. (Not including The Bullring!!) We take our booze seriously down here, but not just cider as widely rumoured!

Cafes and Coffee Shops

  • Peggys Pantry, Ye Olde Tea Shoppe
  • The most popular would be "Peggy's Pantry" (by 'popular' I mean used by elderly ladies.) Also the only place to sell Cully postcards... in the world!!!!!

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Cullompton. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Cullompton.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
