Food
Granny's Grotto is still going strong and this year she is doing a tea time menu as well. Granny's is also now online, you can find her at www.grannysgrotto.co.uk
Cheap! This is the South West, nothings cheap.
theres food in all the pubs but i woulnt advise the oyster cathcer as it always very crowded, to crowded to eat. there also a chip shop a little up the hill from anns cottage and thats quite good
The White Heron in Polzeath has to be the one for the best food. Prices are excellent as well.
Spa in Rock, damaged food shelf
blue tomato
the cafe next tot he beach, near the road as you first drive into polzeath./ good cheap food
Mothers Kitchen hasn't been in Polzeath for a few years now, the best ice cream is The Cone Zone.
KEBAB SHOP IS WELL GOOD THEY DO FAT BURGERS FOR A QUID AT 12 O CLOCK-BE THERE OR BE SQUARE!
St Kew Inn near Chaple Amble - the BEST steaks in the world!
Take away next to anns cottage, massive pizzas and they do quarter pounders for a quid sometimes,,,,, and wildfish if ur feeling exspensive,,,
Grannies Grotto and buying tinned fruit from Spar to eat at campsite.
Finns cafe - cool chilled atmosphere, scrummy (but pricey) menu and FIT waitresses, i think the boss must only hire beautiful staff, ask to be served by 'jenny' she's hot! its a cool place to hang on a rainy afternoon with a nice veiw of the surf!
The Hungary Surfer at Tristram Cliff is good takeaway. The Wildfish Restaurant (Formerly know as the Hungary Surfer) next door (to the Hungary Surfer takeaway)is a very high quality restaurant with a excellent sea view looking over to Pentire Point.
Finns: expensive full of cheesy public school boys smoking marlboro lights and eating overpriced nachos and they play shit 'atmospheric' drum and bass with flutes in. There are some fit waitresses and it is like open air and on a roof...
The Hungrey Surfer has got really expensive.
Fins cafe, The Hungry surfer, the pasty shop, Pizza takeaway - the list is endless and did i mention that the fish and chip shop does a mean battered mars bar!
Grannies Grotto:plate of toast is only 20p. The fish and chip shop do battered mars bars.
Pubs
The Mariner is in Rock and there's The Oyster Catcher.
The oyster catcher is good and the is strictly on under agers allowed in there which is a change from the Mariner - a prize for anyone who has ever seen anyone in there who is over 18!!!!
Cafes and Coffee Shops
You can survive in Polzeath for a week with £50 by going to the Galleon everyday
Go to Little Avalon though cos they let you create your own sandwich without mocking however bizarre your request may be.
Finns was a good place to hang out with a few bottles of wine and my boyfriend agrees that they have fit waitresses, they didn't look very pleased with us when we left though.
there the ice cream shop next 2 the spar, realy cornish ice cream. theres a little cafe (cant remember its name) a little way on the beach to the right. sells buckets and spades too!
there's the one on the corner by the wall on the entrance of the beach. it sells fresh cornish pasties mm... theres also the ice cream shop next 2 spar that has proper cornish oce cream, best you'll EVER find
the gallley, does lovely hot chips after surfing....esp if its freezing in like october and april
Finns cafe- expensive, stunning people there thou- for public shcool people
Breakers for coffee
Wadebridge's picked up a bit. If not - Finns for a hot choc looking out to sea.
yeah , ther juice bar and wild fish also fins, but best is cheapy diner next to the car park all round cheap grub,
the cafe under the fried chicken place and Finn's (although expensive and full of loud ra-ra's)
The Galleon the Beach is always handy
various chippys (although not to derbyshire standards) and pizza places to eat at , lots of choices and catering for all tastes and pockets
Finns is way too trendy the Galleon is overpriced, the Chippy does a nice deep fried mars bar though.
gimp square
The battered mars bars are actually a great cure for a hangover.
Grannies grotto rules - the best and cheapest place to go in the whole area - what could be better than two peices of buttered toast for 25p when you are poor and hungry?
