Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

  • If your looking for Folk Music, the folk festival is hosted in the summer, usually by Bridge on Wool and Swan. In my opinion it's good, but nearly got hit by sticks during their dances last year whilst waitressing!
  • youth club where all the youths go im a youth SW!
  • the youth club u can get away with alsorts in there well me and my best girl pal do!
  • Wadebridge Social Club behind the cinema: Here they have live bands and discos on Saturday nights, darts, skittles and pool facilities, can be hired for private parties and much more. Just pop in.
  • None, but go to Truro - not Newquay, it's where everyone else goes! (esp holiday makers - EMITS!)
  • None, go to Newquay instead.
  • What clubs, the odd concert in the town hall, of the local schools group "Apple Sauce!!!"
  • Absolutely bugger all. Wadebridgers are forced to go to Newquay if they want to go clubbing, but the risk of disease and death puts me off.
  • none in wadebridge cause the council are thick
  • Disco at the Faith Assembly Christian Centre.
  • sunday school, the wi centre and the john betchamin centre
  • Nearest Club is The Eclipse nightclub in Bodmin. Only a few miles away.
  • No nightlife whatsoever!
  • None whatsoever but Newquay's nearby

Live Music Venues

  • Bridge On Wool is the best place to go to watch a band. Their live acts draw in the locals. Swan have a couple of bands now and again-the best one is sk'ad for life in my opinion
  • The Bridge On has bands on friday nights. Not very good ones though.
  • The pubs, townhall, Methodist Church has concerts and holds the Wadebridge Music Festival.
  • the townhall oh yeah
  • wadebridge social club (showcasing small bands) wadebridge conservative club (ditto) the ship inn (loads of music here on folk festival days)
  • The Bridge on Wool has the "Gumbo Flyers" and Al Hodge (He wrote the music for Fragil Rock
  • Haha.. unless you count the Platt, where you often get all types of musical entertainers. Usually at pub closing time on a Saturday night coincidentally.
  • none apart from the duke box in cosie's cafe and the noise the gamblers make
  • The Bridge On Wool is well known for the high quailty of the bands playing.
  • Co-op car park - the boy racers open the boots to the sound of uk garage and happy hardcore.

Cinemas

  • REGAL UNIT!!!!
  • To me a cinema is a cinema. It's cheap enough, shows what you want to see and you can walk to the pub after!
  • Yes that Rob guy is rather nice to look at when buying tickets and popcorn. Saw all Lord Of Rings and Star Wars there, big screen is great!!!
  • the regal where i took my girlfriend when i had 1 near la mesa where i work! i wathced football factory there my fave film of alltime!
  • Two screen cinema, pretty nice shows all the latest stuff, pretty basic but does the job, comfy seats.
  • The Regal - contrary to opinion, the films are VERY uptodate - often advanced screenings (eg Harry Potter). Was the place for the premieres of "Saving Grace" and "Amy Foster". Also most of the staff are students! And by the way, who is Rob?!
  • the regal of course it is idealme and charn are gona go there for a hot date
  • Great little two screen cinema, with the most gorgeous guy ever who workd there called Rob. Don't go to see films but to see him!!!
  • The regal cinema has two screens
  • Top draw. The Regal is a great place to see films, and that guy called Rob is drop dead gorgeous!!!
  • Wadebridge has a great little cinema which shows all the latest films and is good value for money. All my friends are agreed that the guy who works there calles Rob is absolutely gorgeous!!! He's an attraction in itself.
  • i'm telling you, the manager of wadebridge cinema is a great man.... that #&^*
  • The Regal is a nice Cinema, but no butterkist
  • Just the one, two screens, a bit slow getting the latest films though.
  • Aaah; the Regal... wonderful.
  • we have one
  • The Regal is a must see to all visitors of Wadebridge formely known in 1939 as the Cinedrome.
  • The Regal with excellent service!!
  • regal
  • the oldest building in town it tiny and crappy
  • Ooooh, the Regal, yeah, only 2 screens but a great little cinema all the same.
  • nice cinema- with quaint uniform
  • The cinema's quite good. THe films are weeks old before we get to see them. Shame about all the staff though - average age = 60 (but there is rather nice one who works in the foyer who goes by the name of Rob)
  • Very sweet place with two screens that smells lovely.
  • The cinema is quite small but has the most comfy seats by bum has ever sat in.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Wadebridge. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Wadebridge.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
