Food
The Frying Pan in Broadstone does fish without skin and bones. Has a very small eat in area too.
Kendricks, great service both takeaway and eat in. Food best in Dartmouth, deffinetly recommend it!
Taylor's is really nice.
Taylors equisite food
The Gunfield Hotel is excellent. They do BBQ's in the summer on a deck by the river, lots of steak and fresh fish, YUM, YUM! The restaurant is also fab, with loads of local stuff, can't keep away from the place.
Hooked, a great fish restaurant recommended.
Pubs
Fresh faced crowd to be found at the George and Dragon... In Dartmouth, there seems to be the 'Dolphin' crowd, the 'Market' crowd etc. etc. The 'DA (Dartmouth Arms) crowd' are particularly annoying. This is a small town, with small-town pub attitudes. Avoid them all.
How about the good old Dartmouth Arms.
There are loads of pubs. The Royal Castle, George and Dragon, Ship in Dock, Floating Bridge, Seale Arms plus more....
There are loads in Dartmouth. The Floating Bridge at one end by the higher ferry, The Dartmouth Arms by the lower ferry, The Market House, The Dolphin, The Seale Arms in the Centre of Town, plus the Lord Nelson in Townstal.
THE Castle Hotel, the market house
Again, the bar at the Gunfield is good enough in it's own right. Many a holiday has been spent working my way along the long shelf of Tequilas! Or there's lots of Belgian beers, and the Green Geenie also known as Absinthe is also found in this chilled out, cool vibes bar.
The Cherub
Royal castle
Dartmouth arms
Cafes and Coffee Shops
The Waterfront is brilliant, has lots of room between tables (a rareity) does lovely garlice bread with cheese.
Loads. Not great for vegetarians or vegans - better try Totnes for really good food/drink.
Spinning wheele secluded olde worldy
Try the Butterwalk Cafe, but there are lots open in the Summer Season. Not as many open in the Winter months.
Cafe Alf Resco's is brilliant, great coffee, great food and great ambience.
Tazza Cafe Italian style coffee bar with esspresso etc and lite snacks, Licenced.
