Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
K-town has quite a gud no. of decent pubs.luving xtra, attica and bar sun all the best tunes to dance to, and u cant beat a gud beat of cheese in omalleys on a sat nite.avoid henry's and level only full of fights.
Attica is defintly a good place to go on a saturday night along with level 3.
Extra and bar sun are also good though a little bit more chilled out.
the prince and the old market inn.
please don't use the term "greb" to apply to everyone who goes there. grebs are few and far between these days, they're now full of emos, indies, scene kids, and aging rockers who really should give it a rest and free up some space by the bar.
keystone!! mosh pit is soo kool me nd my m8s luv watchin the guys mosh it!!
if ur getin pissed its good here cus by the time i gt home im sober yay!!
XS is now closed waiting to be re-vamped. Centrals the place to go on a sat night, free entry before 10 and half price drinks before 11! music can be cheesy but who cares when ya drunk! aged 18-20 level 3's the place for you.
Must let you all know about the new bar in town , Krakars, next to the royal hotel going towards hotel car park... it brill. cheap drinks, good atmosphere, good music , will be the next place to be
Hmm! Club XS (has it changed names again yet?) Does have a remarkably youthful looking crowd most weekends, I stopped partaking a few years ago after some spotty youth hurled on my shoes! the music is meant to be dancey by all accounts and they have the odd big? named DJ's there. Central - a whole new world of old balding ogling men whose wives and kids have no idea what they spend saturday nights doing! They serve champagne - makes up for some of the patrons! - but the staff have been known to have an attitude and a bit of a chip! An alright night if you don't expect too much!
XS sucks donkeys, USF is good, KEYSTONE rocks
ummm level 3 can be quite good but keep gettin hit in there so havent been for a while
kettering has some great djs with the likes of skully, wid&ben, kernzy&klemenza and egoiste all hailing from kettering. trouble is all venues just seem to play pop/rnb stuff.
CENTRAL

Club XS, Recently picked up in standard on certain nights of the month, with such reknowned DJ's such as Passion resident, JFK. Pole Idol was an event not to be missed! Central is appealing to a much broader clientèle of late night drinker.
Extreme is on every tuesday 4 the under 18's!
CLUB XS STILL THE BEST NIGHT OUT IN KETTERING LOADS OF NEW STUFF COMING SOON ASWELL POLE IDOL(KINDA CUSTOMER POLE DANCING COMP)SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE FOR ALL AND HIGH SOCIETY A NEW DANCE NIGHT WITH BIG NAME DJ'S SUCH AS YOMANDA SO LOOK OUT FOR THAT ONE NICE STAFF AND NICE ATTITUDE KEEP IT UP LADS
ok now listen up u pill heads who love the cotton club (now known as level 3) its a big bag of shit.club xs is THE BEST and you should know that by now great music great atmosphere saturday is the best night to go for a bangin time.enjoy xxxx
The only one that is worth a look is Central, still not the best that you will go to. Consider staying in a bar!
xs is rubbish but theres knowhere decent to go
BOX is a new funky house night run in Attica(above omalleys). really good tunes and some big name djs. no commercial rubbish. www.enjoybox.cjb.net
The Cotton Club has been closed for nearly a year now. Shame the dj there was the best in kettering however he has been working thursday nights in Club XS, although he hasn't been there for the last two weeks. Don't think im gonna bother going any more cos the new dj is crap. When glen was there it was kewl. We love glen we all used to go to the cotton club to see him as well. Kettering venues take note glen of the cotton club and XS is ketterings best dj you should all hire him. lol. Anyway im gonna go and try to find an email address for Club XS to complain that glen aint there any more. i hope he aint left and that he is only on holiday.
did you know that you can get free entry into some clubs if you get a kettering vip card? checkout ketteringvip.co.uk. I have saved a fortune on clothes, eating out and much more with my kettering vip gold card!
Club XS every 1st Monday of every month for Kenny's Dead nights.
The best nights in Northants for punk, metal, ska, hardcore and more.
With DJ's JB and Nino
Opens 10pm - 02am and tickets R £3.50 from the old market inn Or £4.00 on door
Kenny's Dead at Club XS, people moan about it being not as good as it used to be, but it still rules cos its like going to a mates party oncea month. You know everyone there
Try Rotherham,
Or a bit further afield Newcastle Quayside!!
club xs - good laugh if ur drunk. 1 of the in house dj's might try n hit on ya but stear clear if u've any sense he's prob got anova few girls numba the same night, or fancy goin 4 a drink is the best line... ive c'n it happen! Friday n saturday!!!
Club XS in kettering has an alternative music night called 'Kennys Dead' playing rock, metal, Punk & Indie/Garage Rock. If you want to know dates then email kennysdead666@hotmail.com although they are usually the first monday of the month. No Attitude & Good Music.
- XS (yeah man wicked !!) :b
The cotton club used to be the best place in town but its closed down now. The djs there were shit hot. dance music on a friday and cheesey party stuff on a saturday, versatile to your requests as well the saturday nite dj is the best dj ever, he will always play your request whatever it is and he can turn his hand to anything. he is now working in club xs on a thursday nite, which is a cheesy party night although he does play some r&b and commercial dance, and he still plays anything you ask him for. he is rather fit to girls. check him out. i think his name is glen or something.stay away from central its shit and full of grandads. im sure the dj plays a looped tape every night as well. you can set your watch by what time you hear some tracks. all in all club xs is now propably the best club. Check out bar sun on sundays as well. the dj in there (ben) is quality. he also plays Club xs on a friday and Saturday. They have ketterings 2 best djs (glen and ben) see ya there.
I felt ancient last time I went to Club Reject-most of them should be in nappies
xs is the best place to be and no matter what ppl say bout it you are guarenteed to have a good nite! the lads are fit to especially karl baker *mwah*
Kettering...hmmmmm....xs is a rough dump at the best of times, BUT, giv em there do's they're playing more choons than central's bashing out at the mo. Central = nice people, expensive drinks, old skool tunes and a laugh..xs= a punch in the face, cheap drinks, loadsa people "up 4 it", great music and friendly bouncers!!! ;-)
central rock its greak
sportz but it shuts 2early. big up ross n his crew on the door!
Club XS on its Kenny's Dead's night, good music, most pubs are open til 1am now on weekends so i think the clubs are losing custom
my ultamate fave club the ledgendary-oh yes-club XS, slag it off all you want but you can bet ull have a wicked nite if you go there, musics geat, atmospheres greater and u can bet ull see loads of familiar faces (and the guys are fit too!)
Central-Grab a grandparent-trust me.
Central in Montagu Street buzzes. Get there early and avoid the Q. Straight/Gay - anything goes. Any age too - don't worry if you feel
past it at other clubs - just get down and boogie.
Central Rock cafe and bar a great place for those who wanna listen to sh*t cheesy music
Kettering and clubs isn't a good match, the attitude stinks wherever you go, Cotton club is about the best, stay away from Club xs!
The cotton club has undergone extensive refurbishment with thousands of pounds spent. obviously the person who expressed their opinion of the cotton club being a waste of time is living 10 years in the past. FACT!!! Anyone who wants to know what it is really like can go to www.cottonclub.org.uk CHECK IT OUT. promos and giveaways as well as a new dj lineup.
Cotton Club has had a big facelift, check out www.cottonclub.org.uk New bar,Decor sound system and dancefloor. Well worth a visit!!
The Club is now 100% COTTON. If you can make the 49 steps you know you can make
it!!!
If you like it blue, then join the crew at the'Bluest Bar' in town at the Cotton
Club! Over 18 blues only
keep away from kett. clubs - v. bad, boring places
Central Rock Cafe...... all ages
Club XS, just out of town.
Hmm, you want underground go to London. You want Thursday, Friday, Saturday night cheese go to Kettering's clubs. Bar Sun Nice place, cocktail bar upstairs, real DJ's probably the best mix around in Kettering......
we have a new nightclub
called central rock cafe
Ha, They're all shite, if you wanna late drink go to O'Malleys or the Indian restaurant Monsoon.
central club montague st sucks
The cattle market has been closed, I wonder why
Also the USF club where Phill the Bitch goes what a place and of course we cannot forget the one and pnly Bobby Lynch he goes there aswell
Minatre rifle club is a biddy bomb club full of them like my nieghbour Ray & eady
Fleckies, isn't that bad.
Although my friend Eleanor got kicked out last Saturday when her mum came and got her.
Spot on...... Xs.......... Cotton club....... Volts (over 25s).......... New one opening at Montagu street.........
club xs as it is now called is the big thursday an saturday nightspot crappy but there is nowhere else to go.... cotton club is not worthy of being called a club
for the younger memebers you can go to the wicksteed park discos or even klv
Club XS
remember the best and most original club was Tymes nightclub - onced owned by Jez Phillips and Philip Litchfield circa 1980 - 1994 in the town centre(now the cotton club)
Reflections is very bad, The Cotton Club is worse.
Reflections (aka Fleckies, Rejections etc...) Cotton Club (not worth the effort).

hmmm, i guess Club Evil is alrite. Every now and then they have pretty unknown acts playing. the old sports and leisure in Wellingotn Streer
The good ole works on wellington st can tempt your tastebuds to the odd music night! One for the olds!
The Old Market Inn has live bands (of varying quality) on every Sunday night and on some other days. The Assembly DJ's are resident but alternate unpredictably between Friday and Saturday nights, they play a mix of downbeat, funk, hiphop, breakbeat (the scuzzy-bass Freq Nasty, Plump DJ's type), and drum n'bass. DJ Skully occasionally appears down here as well.
occasional gigs, look for flyers near Macdonalds
Midland Band Club jam night Thursdays
not sure on this
No time to listen to any - just as well Kettering Leisure Village has a large field with livestock in
Our Man In Tokyo were a great band from the early eighties played at the Rising Sun and the Wayfarers. DT on Vocals, Viv Vomit on Guitar and Andy Clump Claypole on drums
KLV sometimes gets good bands, Manics etc.
Cinemas
Odeon, but Vue in Nton is better - standard!
I think odean is good enough.
odeon- cute ticket ripper dude!! dont buy you food here unless u are a milionaire go to tesco first
Odeon 8 screen complex, cool staff especially Louis!
Small! Better than the old one down Russell street and smells better too! Overpriced and crap service, but it is just a cinema and aren't they all much the same?!
Odeon is awesome, wikid service tho prices go high. go with ur mate whos sister works there and buy anything for 70p lololol
Odeon , very good, bit over priced! I went 2 c a pg film there AND I GOT ASKED MY AGE! THEY THOUGHT I WOZ TRYIN 2 SCAM A KIDS TICKET, IM ONLI 13!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY THAUGHT I WOZ 16 LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
Odeon Cinema is fun to go wiv mates.
the odeon is good.the seats are quite small but anything has got to be better than the flea pit !!! (russel street)! there doesnt seem to be air conditioning but if your a student you get discount.
Its an Odeon!
The ODEON!!! One of of the best cinemas in 8 counties. Its on the outskirts of town near uhhh, Tesco.
Odeon near Tesco's. There is nowhere else
The Odeon Cinema is cool, Its got loadsa screens and good food, Why go anywhere else??
Odeon, bit of a trek and pushing up prices faster than McDonalds do but still the best for choice
not much 21 say we only got one and thats like a grand for a bag of popcorn
Odeon - Mainstream films only - not good to see outthere films
The Odeons ok.apart from they shut you out in the cold after a late show.HOW RUDE!
dunno aint been for ages, great for launching popcorn at law abiding oldies, watch out for a drunk ginger and fat one on a friday nite!
the odeon rocks, bit pricey but is fun! girls n boys,ALWAYZ USE THE BACK ROW SEETZ!
other than the Odeon, there's my house, often watching Sky Movies there
i like seeing the odeons bright lights from my bedroom window *looks left at them*
ODEON!!! a bunch of idiots in there. I asked for freakin side seats and they put in in the centre. Stupid fools
Odeon cinema is a rip off, don't like it there what so ever, always youg kids asking fo spare fags outside!
well ll kettering has to offer is an 8 screen odeon which is kool draws quite a crowd in on a saturday night
lots of over dressed people but forget the popcorn on chairs stuff kos theres none of that here
we have some class u know
Odean Cinema 8 screens, then call in and say hello to Jo & Glen at Hobsons Choice next door..discounts for snow skiers.
Just wanna add Rock and Bowl has got Wimpy not Burger King :-p
The Odeon best cinema ever seen in kettering. pretty cool a bit too busy sometimes though and too expensive
we have a big odeon now well situated on the a14
Loads of screens clean and modern. Not a scratch on the old flea pit that got closed down where you could drink and smoke during the movie.
No need for one of them, unless they're showing the silence of the lambs
The cinema is rather good
Bring back russell street cinema
Just to state, Odeon is an 8 screener.
Used to have quaser and stuff, its shut down, with the rest of KLV
odeon cinema worth a look in and if it is that bad go to the pub next door (hobsons choice) nice and quite with no trouble
Cinema is alright if you get bored with Town.......
New 6 screen Odeon on the outskirts finally put the manky hole that was the Ohio (fleapit) out of business. Rock 'n Bowl (top name!?) has recently been refurbished and now has a Burger King, as well as the 16 lanes, pool tables and bar, however I won't be seen dead near it because my Dads in their every night being leery.
