• Fred from Corrie...actually, he's my mates second cousin. There was once a bizarre rumour that Emma Bunton was seen buying curtains here, and therefore everyone reasoned she had bought a house. Yeah...also, Andy Priaulx, racing driver, my dads work sponsor him. And then theres Matt Le Tissier. His son lives on my road with his mum and step dad and. Local celebrities...the legendary KEV!!!!!!!!
• i heard a rumour about the beckhams owning a huge house near the balifs cross once, but i doubt it somehow!

• Miss Wanda Gauson - Charming and photogenic young newsreader. Kim Fortune - Channel News presenter who used to act in Bond movies.
• Alexis Goater - All-singing, all-dancing, fire-eating, stilt-walking carnie. Wears odd clothes, irrepressibly cheerful Karen Dotrice - Girl in Mary Poppins, grew up to be Betty in Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. Olivia de Havilland - Black and white movie actress
• KEV - The semi-mythical man who founded the Kev Run. his existence is hotly disputed to this day. John Gollop - Island politician. Has trouble dressing himself. Victor Hugo - Lived here after being kicked out of France and Jersey Anna Brehaut - Ace reporter for the Guernsey Evening Press. Phil le Bin - Giant anthopomorphic dustbin, who teaches children that it's cool to clean up after you. Littie Baggit - Giant pink bag, Phil's girlfriend. Gemma Carre - An announcer for BBC Radio Guernsey, as well as being an accomplished chorister. Often takes the part of Littie Baggit Josephine Dowding - Another announcer for BBC Radio Guernsey, often takes the part of Mr Le Bin. Also an accomplished actress. Wanda Gauson - Newsreader for Radio Guernsey. Scottish. Irrepressibly cheerful.

• Generally speaking, street entertainment is not a Guernsey thing, they like to keep things quiet. But on special occasions, the Liberation Day Bank Holiday (May 9th) being one, the town comes alive with a real party atmos & street entertainers are everywhere.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
