• Hardcore Hobbies on St John St. THe only sucessful new independant shop to appear in Bury in 30 years. Here's big repect to Mr Mills. (Actually Sunrise has done OK but it's rubbish.)
• The only good bike shop in Bury is Micks cycles down St. John Street. Dont even think of going to cycle king it is really shite.

• Look no further than Hardcore Hobbies on St John Street for the best in BMX culture, decks and clothing. Opened in '99 this is the most sucessful independant retail venture in Bury in the 24 years I lived there. Hardcore Hobbies could also go under Hook-up spots and skate shops.
• Halfords. Where my first bike came from.

• The jumps at the back of john banks are gone but there are some phat ones behind curys!!!!!
• the ones behind john Banks have been taken down by the council.

• Skate park and random bits of pavement in town!
• Street spots: hsbc set of 8 and set of 3, county upper school, theres stairs everywhere but look at the side of the school theres the biggest 5 set ever but just do it ! I can and its not that hard really, just scary. Kegs school has set of 2,3,4,5,6's take ya pick. College has sets of 9 with a ledge, 12 with a ledge and 14 with a ledge. Trails: Rougham dirt jumps near ravenwood hall hotel, theres also some outside john bandks in a buildin site

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
