Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains

• The only nice clothes shop is Jo Amor! Well... it's the only nice shop in Tiverton really... Actually, I suppose Soundys isn't too bad either.
• theres a hippy shop for all those tree huggers out there
• Sue Ryder, Oxfam, QS, and upstairs in Tescos are probably the only places in Tiverton for the Giro freeloaders to get their leggings and shell suits.
• Soundys clothing co. Gold St.- Surf and Skate stuff. Quiksilver, Billabong, Vans, Etnies, Rip curl, Lost indutries, Bleu bolt, Savage, Spiral, Dirty Dog and Von Zipper sunnies. nuffsed!!
• Soundys Clothing Company in Gold st. used to be an old mans shops (remember getting your school uniforms there?) but no more... now its all surf and skate! Quiksilver, Billabong, Vans and Etnies, Rip Curl, Dirty Dog and Von Zipper sunnies, and plenty of piss taking.
• Oxfam, CLIC, Imperial Cancer Research... A couple of half-arsed surf/skate-type clothes shops if that's your thing.
• sue ryder shop does a great line in large old womens belly warming pants
• A very, very small Burton's Menswear, and a few surf-type clothes stores. Go to Exeter. In fact, live in Exeter.
• if you want to look like the geeky kid at school who sat in a corner on his own, i definately recommend buying your polyester trousers, and hi-tec silver shadows in one of the many "clothing establishments" in the town centre.

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)

• Loads. Craft shops and Charity shops reign supreme on Tivvy's streets.
• Art galleries wouldn't be appreciated in cultureless Tiverton. Crafts shops are everywhere, but are strictly for tourists.
• loads of shit arty shops dotted around from market walk to gold st.

Magazine and Comic Shops

• Uh...WH Smiths?
• Exe Valley News. JCR. WH Smiths. Tesco. There's a few in Westexe, too. They all sell the same stuff, so everyone goes to WH Smiths.
• any newsagents
• maynards newsagents, surely the home of the ugliest birds ever created.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
