The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
I live just outside Bristol when not at Uni. The thing I'd like to know is how come Blackhorse has got a page all to itself. I don't really know Blackhorse but I did used to work at a rather nice Double Glazing firm in Downend (Euroglaze, 1 Cleevewood Rd. Downend, 0117 9272564, if you want a new conservatory, or perhaps some doors or windows, all quality gear, oh and could you mention the name of Alan Medcroft and ask them to send me my commission even though I don't work there anymore, I'm sure that the company wont have an add on the Internet.) anyway back to Downend. It is basically a little place I go through on the bus to Bristol City centre, much the same as Fishponds for instance, there really aint much there at all. Unless of course you're looking for a petrol station and a Lloyds Bank and Estate agents (and of course Euroglaze-They used to have these natty leaflets with a picture of a dove in flight, if you live in Bristol or Bath you've probably had them knocking at your door, or giving you a ring, there's a branch at Weston too, and some other places I can't be bothered to remember. Great Boss; This bloke called Spence, Top bloke, even if he wasn't too hot at playing brag) well that's the second advert for a company I left in September 1994 (Thanks for the card and bottle of wine Spence) so I'll leave you to read something more interesting. Bye now.
The ramp is the only good thing in Black Horse, the rest is rubbish. Better to go to Downend. Downend and Blackhorse are generally quiet. Better off going to Centre.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
