Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
spankys night club.......since reopening it has become the only club i know u could become lonely in, i mean come on 20 people all night how sad is that!!!!!
Spanky's.............Well what has happened. Looking for a top night during April & May but been a little disappointed. What has happened to that nutter of a DJ with his constant whistling e.t.c. If there's been a fall out, all must be forgiven for the sake of the club.....is it Aidi B.....RIP ?
Libertys is hilarious! I met some twerp who tried to tell me he was setting up a contract with the MoD to supply weapons. He ran off with a flea in his ear - now he thinks I'm a spy.
Well what can I say... Libertys!!(crap) The Cartlon inn (DON'T BOTHER),Landlord at the carlton managed to drive hords of people away!! ha ha..
Now I may be one sided here the new Spanky's nighclub apart from having a really annoying sound limit system ain't that bad at all!! Especially when when either Resident Dj's Adrian or Glen Or there, My god they play some good tunes... Saturday nights seem to be the better night to go as fridays are very quiet. usually a good place to pull aswell...
well spankys has re opened, havent experienced that one yet, probably full of townies! go to the grove! (seaton, only slightly better)
Spankys and http://www.oakydokey.com Yes real Dj's actually LIVE in Honiton!! They're waiting for spankys to re-open and have set up a petition at http://www.okrecords.co.uk (these guys'll bring the music back)
The pitt or spankys isnt really worth the hassle.
Alas, no Pit Club anymore, although legend has it it is soon to re-open....
not that that's necessarily a good thing, but if you want the occasional terrible night out for fun then give it a go
Liberty's and The Carlton are the only club type places (2am opening), but more like bars with discos. CHEESE!
Our ` and only club just closed down. (Pity.)
Though I wouldn't argue that the nightclub is a bit of a dive the name Pit club is actually what its name was when it was a Discotheque around 1987, after it was bought and done up the name was changed but locals still use its old name.
There is only one night club in Honiton "The Paradise Club" aka The Pit Club because it is such a dive!!
Live Music Venues
Come on - this place needs a jazz club
Liberty's has live bands every Saturday, often very good. Check out the Chris Stuckey band if you can, absolutely incredible, with no exaggeration
Cinemas
None in Honiton, although the youngsters are campaigning for somewhere dark with a row of back seats. How about a dimly lit bus kids?
