Record Shops

• There used to be a record shop called Sounds which closed down years ago so there are no specialist CD shops. In Bodmin your best bet is ASDA or Morrisons though they only usually stock chart CDs which is a bit bad. We usually get our CDs off the internet or wait untill we skate at Plymouth where there are shops like HMV and Virgin (though we prefer buying from the independent shops such as DifferentClass which is also in Plymouth).
• Woolies and WH Smiths is all thats left now!! Sounds closed and EGO trading have just disappeared....mind you, if you placed an order in either for something a bit 'out of the ordinary' it would take about 2 weeks to come in because the delivery van would always 'mysteriously' be late!!
• we do not have any we have woolworthes but thats it really there is one but im not really sure why its still open as no one ever goes in there maybe it's a major drug dealing place that would so not surprise me!
• RPM records in bell lane.. think its called RPM at least!!! bout the only one, and its in bell lane. thats all i know!

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

• Eclipse . It rock great music great night. on fridays 7-10 its for us teenagers 12-16 i think but its wicked anyway

• the eclipse, used to be the drum major/cornish soldier. look out for dodgy geog teachers some nights though!!! cornish arms/fifteens. full of those REMARKABLY young patrons, is actually a pub but its turning into a club. the football club at priory park, they charge entry sometimes, makes em a club doesnt it? full of local 6th form, years 10 and 11 though!

Live Music Venues

• There is a small pub called Nicals which hosts weekly rock/punk/emo gigs by local bands. Entry fees are small no more than £3 so it's worth a look. Some local bands also get gigs at Bodmin College which are usually held for charities but again there are some good bands so check it out.
• The Shire Hall is often a good starting block for teenage bands. The Chaos Theory are Bodmin' finest and they have since been signed to Epitaph and plan to record an album in New Years. Check them out! Geocities.com/chaostheorymusic

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
