  • Ok Now Is The Complete List Of All The Best Places To Skate In St Austell .Number 1 place in St Austell to skate has to be the new pipe behind bishop bromscum. It rules !!!! .Next best place has to be Sedgemoor School Of Rock LMAO it hyas a sweet set of 5 and another not so clean but stilll sweet set of 5.Around the bak is about a 2 foot ledge ,a huge green bin(Around 10 Foot that looks great on films)and a few wheelie bins.(great for riding in.). Next there is XS ledge with a small (Around 4 foot) ledge and a larger (6 foot)ledge.Xs ledge is located in a small turn in to the right as you travel up trinity street. Now we go on to Registry Office located next to polkyth. It boasts a decent size 6 & 5 set with a great 3 set to finish it off with a perfect waxed "mini wall" right next to it.
  • Penrice School has a good 4 set , sketchy 2 set , 2-3ft ledge with dodgy run up. The playgrounds are smooth with 1-2ft high bench's around the edge perfect for high slides and grinds.

Skateboard Shops

  • truro go to sjz
  • sjz in truro
  • All gone, best bet is Truro.
  • Kemeyel Toys no longer exists-incase you're trying to find it.
  • Purple Planet is the only skate shop in St. Austell, don't bother with Planet Lifestyle - they are a surf shop that wants to be a skate shop but don't know the first thing about skating, and have been real rude to me and a lot of skaters I know. The people in Purple Planet are really friendly & helpful & they know there stuff. They deal with most labels and though they don't always have what you want in the shop, they can order things in. I've ordered a number of bits in the past and only twice they haven't been able to get it in (it was out of stock).
  • guys planet Lifestyle upstairs and purple planet
  • I don't suppose Ada Barlow's moved into that niech has she? If not, you should still be able to get any bike in the world, ever. So long as it's a Raliegh.
  • Has to be Purple Planet. Planet lifestyle have some cheap sk8n stickers if that's what yer after. - Adrian.
  • Purple Plane, (recently moved to the old Globe Cycles Shop) And planet lyfestyle (mens, womens, kids all in the vacinity of each other)
  • Planet lifstyle girls, planet lifestyle mens, and planet lifestyle youth
  • We used to ket our sketebaord clothing, Vision etc from Kemeyel Toys.
  • purple planet, has nice osiris shoes but shit to skate in.
  • Purple planet, but is carp (yes i meant to write carp)
  • Purple Planet in town sell skate goods, also down the road Planet Lifestyle sell skate goods also

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about St Austell. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in St Austell.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
