• unless you are very very open minded, st.alful is a place of loud dance music and people in white trousers and Ben Sherman two-tone shirts, so dont come if your looking for anything else!
• Perhaps you could get the spelling right ST. AUSTELL Otherwise a very enjoyable site. Have recommended it to several friends in other counties.
• St.Austell is brilliant because it is home to Emma.R the biggest party annimal in the whole of the west country.
• You might just fit Emma on here because she is the biggest star ever.
• OFTEN KNOWN TO OCCASIONAL VISITORS AND ENFORCED INMATES AS ST AWFUL - I WON'T ASK WHY.
• Apart from the pubs and the cinema, in common with most SW towns, evrything shuts at about 18:00... make your own fun.
• I'm trying to locate any Tretheweys that may still live in St.Austell. My Grandfather came from there and imigrated to South Dakota USA. I live in Michigan my name is Tom Tretheway. The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
