Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
The Berkeley Centre, for long a kinda black hole of calcutta for flecky trousered, mulleted, moustachio'd inbred rednecks, underwent a major zillion dollar revamp, became Club Euphoria,and....well, is still a kinda black hole of calcutta for flecky trousered, bemulleted,&c.except now the, erm,VIP bar upstairs, all midnite blue and chrome bannisters, isnt open.at the time of writing{july 04} Shania Twain's "Man,I Feel Like A Woman" is STILL cuttin it up large styleee on a dancefloor awash with bowdlerised cider.
rowl bowl it is great you can play pool bowling air hockey
don't like em never going to em but their that night club the kids youth group some where you'll find it
berkley sucks ass twightlight is marginally better but for a decent pint head for Tyacks or the clipper bar, bothg good pubs which often have local live music. p.s. mentaporta rule(when the one and only bruce "do mute people not speak cos they don't want too" on the drums.)
The Berkeley is a fantastic place!! I had many happy memories there in the early 1990s.
the berkley - best club in the whole entire world, can't understand those who choose funky friday at twilight instead
Berkley- An okay club for wild nights with mates...lots of my mates are glass collectors!
The Berkley Centre. now that's a place i really don't miss.
although many a laugh can be had in there i go back to it now and i feel
old!!! I'm 19!!! upstairs you'll get townies and people trying to be hard
Downstairs you'll get the oldies in the pig-pen and people who don't fit
into the other category in the other downstairs!!
"The Berkeley Centre" three floors. 1st floor - two rooms. Room 1 for quiet older people (Cool, show videos, do Cocktails) Room 2 - called "Darwins" Very good DJ 2nd floor - hired for weddings, + other events. 3rd floor - The Real Disco. GOOD lights, GOOD sound. D.J "P.J." (Also D.J's for 'Sailors' in Newquay.) Very good atmosphere, but can get bit too hot when really kickin.. Average age 18-25. The Berkley Centre now has stundent nights on Wednesdays and this have a great atmosphere, I would give it a miss on Fridays and just spend the whole night in the Tyacks. The Tyacks Hotel no longer has a Disco in on Wednesdays now 'cause noone went there, but there are now live gigs there every Saturday.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
