weird counting by jaggybunnet (Member 210424) on 8-May-08
A guy is walking past a high, solid wooden fence at the insane asylum and he hears all the residents inside chanting, "Thirteen! Thirteen! Thirteen!" He continues walking along the long fence, but, being a curious person, he can't help but wonder why they are chanting "Thirteen!" over and over. Could it be that they are chugging beer? Are they perhaps taking turns beating one of the inmates? Maybe they are counting the number of patients that have leapt off of >>more

My boy is 15, and this guy is 17-18, i ain't gonna name him yet, until we have spoken to the police, the guy is a well know trouble maker and a so called hard man, nothing hard about jumping a 15 year old from behind is there ???? also one of the guys mates filmed the incident on his mobile, so no doubt it'll be all over you-tube soon :(

  • Re: MESSAGE.................... by cynthia (Member 225574) on 7-May-08

  • Re: MESSAGE.................... by Jacobite (Member 240108) on 7-May-08
Colsha, I know you're angry, but you've just put on the www that you'll seek revenge. As this page is read by the Police, the only door they're likely to knock is your's.

  • Re: MESSAGE.................... by Colsha (Member 42948) on 7-May-08
maybe your right there Jacobite, and yes i am angry, the police have been to mine and asked if we want to press charges....WTF would that do, just aggravate the situation further, they'll then know my address and come round and smash my windows, i'll find out where they live and go round smashing their windows....a vicious cycle eh ??? one that no-one wins....bide our time and we'll see what happens.

colsha press charges, its the only way you can win with scum, at least they will be to scared to retaliate as the cops have there name already, why should they get away with it, if it was your boy doing it you can be sure there family would want him brought to justice.

  • Re: MESSAGE.................... by tam the bam (Member 171504) on 8-May-08

  • Re: MESSAGE.................... by Colsha (Member 42948) on 8-May-08
After a night of reflecting over the situation and speaking at length to my lad, he said the only thing that's pissing him off is the guy jumping him from behind and the guy getting get a 'cheap shot' in on my lad knocking him to the floor, in a one to one situation my lad might have walked away from a fair fight with just a few cuts n bruises, the guy jumped my lad from behind, that's all we >>more

If it was my kid I would want to know what he had been up to and if I found out I would frog march him to the police station myself after dragging him round to apologise face to face. If a few more had the same attitude we would not have the problems we have. But having said that if it was my child jumped, I too would be wary of repercussions. Doesn't mean it doesn't make my blood boil!!!

Houses on old bar life site by sgc (Member 66394) on 6-May-08
See in saturdays telegraph, planning permission being sought for 60 odd houses on the old bar life site. So much for houses not being allowed due to a covenant.

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by the cable guy (Member 26574) on 7-May-08
Your right wee man it makes u wonder who started the fire or who was behind it.The fields are covered by a covenant of some sort but then again i thought the tennis courts were. The forces of greed know no bounds my friend!

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by sgc (Member 66394) on 7-May-08
Would not think for a minute it is a case of , Is that your brown envelope lying there with £1000 in it, Na mine had £2000 in it. Your right fran it does get you thinking, after all 2 years is only a short time in the busines world and why would the builders buy the land if they thought permission would be difficult to get.

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by cynthia (Member 225574) on 7-May-08
Always hoped it my have got rebuilt bit sad to know it never will..

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by Dinp (Member 37945) on 7-May-08
Covenants can be lifted providing all of the parties involved in the land agree to do so. It doesn't stop someone applying for planning permission with a covenant.

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by the cable guy (Member 26574) on 7-May-08
Would all the parties be the ones who would gain from buying or selling and not those who evolved with the club in it's past or present(recent)form?

  • Re: Houses on old bar life site by the cable guy (Member 26574) on 7-May-08
    Who's applying anyway?

wedding dvd by david davidson (Member 238898) on 5-May-08
can anyone recommend someone who does 'dvds' for weddings as a friend of mine is getting remarried and is looking for some to record his wedding. he was quoted £500 which is way over the top of his budget.

  • Re: wedding dvd by Jacobite (Member 240108) on 6-May-08
£500? Name that bastard, then we'll get the tax man on his case as well

  • Re: wedding dvd by david davidson (Member 238898) on 6-May-08
he was told "that's the going rate mate"

  • Re: wedding dvd by Jacobite (Member 240108) on 6-May-08
If that the going rate I'm Captain Birdseye. The couple are bound to have a friend with a camera, ask him to do it. Slip him a ton for his trouble, it'll turn out more personal than look like a BBC produced drama.

  • Re: wedding dvd by david davidson (Member 238898) on 6-May-08
having listened to how much the average cost is for a full wedding nowadays £10,000 to £20,000 it is no wonder couples would rather live together than get marriyed

  • Re: wedding dvd by Jacobite (Member 240108) on 6-May-08
    £10,000 LOL

  • Re: wedding dvd by Stutz (Member 87874) on 7-May-08
Jacobite, lol. obviously a long time (or never)ago you got involved with the cost of a traditional wedding. Shop him to the tax man would you. probably laugh in your face. Not the going rate you say. Have a look hear. http://www.celebrationsvideography.co.uk/Packages.

Dam thing. .html on the end. Captain Birdseye, the fish fingers are on you.

  • Re: wedding dvd by Jacobite (Member 240108) on 7-May-08
I suggest your friend rings round, £500+ is certainly NOT the going rate. As I said, get them to get a friend to do it. He would more likely to capture those special moments than a so called 'pro'. He would know who's who for a starter, and thats worth a £1,000,000. As for the taxman, I've come across many "I'll knock off £xxx for cash"

  • Re: wedding dvd by david davidson (Member 238898) on 7-May-08
thanks for the advice, I will pass them all on to my friend.

As most of my junior school mates had gone there I decided to move. I started there in January 1966. Jaggy, Stutz broke another string, this time on my Mandolin. 8 strings now down to 7. Without a Doubt played in the Ship Inn Ingoldmells and were magic.

Did he bust it while trying to reach his jd with his imaginary third hand?

No imaginary third hand involved here Jaggy. It was the imaginary JD that done the trick. He more than made up for it on yesterday though with a classic single malt, school today as well. As they say in Ketwin, "good ol'boy" Hows the leg Jaggy ?

Jaggy, take it easy until you are fully recovered. Any way I treated Stutz a full bottle of JD. He went home and poured it over his pork chops. What a sauce.

And very nice it was tooooo. You don't want to take chances with old frogs legs Jaggy, wait until you know you are fit enough. You'll just have to cut back on the JD and stuff.
