wow its amazing - massive 'work out' area, tennis courts, badminton courts, climbing wall, big swimming pool etc. the only problem is the showers are all one big room so you have to stare at everyone's 'willies'. plus its full of people who look like they dont actually need to go

There was the most spectacular rainstorm last night before I left the house to go into Camden, luckily it got rid of the bin juice on my steps. Not raining today - yet. Sunshine for the weekend though whooooop.

I know! I was sat getting drunk on the roof of the Coq d'Argent and it absolutely bucketed down. Luckily didn't get wet at all but the poor waiters got soaked.

Re: I was looking at a storm

that's all very well but how would you fix a tap to the exterior wall of a childs rigid paddling pool?
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by crispin (Member 72985) on 19-Aug-08
is this for a water butt? Don't bother with a tap, just use a removable lid
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by james (Member 225275) on 19-Aug-08
no, it's to change water in a duck pond.
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by crispin (Member 72985) on 19-Aug-08
why do you want to change the water?
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by james (Member 225275) on 19-Aug-08
it get dirty and it should be changed. i will use it to irrigate my crops ie show off with some heath-robinson irrigation affair.
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by crispin (Member 72985) on 19-Aug-08
well it would go brown if there's been heavy rain but you shouldn't change the water in an established pond as it disturbs the ecosystem. If you mean it's getting eutrophic then make sure it's not in full sun, ie plant something to cast shade. oxygen providing plants like elodea would >>more

-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by james (Member 225275) on 19-Aug-08
it wont be established at any stage for it'll be small and i'll have to empty it of duck shit and the ducks would eat any plants i put in there.
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by crispin (Member 72985) on 19-Aug-08
if it's small then you won't attract any ducks
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by james (Member 225275) on 19-Aug-08
i dont have to attract them i'll buy them. i'm thinking of getting a corner bath from a skip, the biggest bath i can get anyway.
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by crispin (Member 72985) on 19-Aug-08
dabbling ducks like mallard don't actually need water. In the wild they use water margins as a food source and the open areas as safety from predators. but if you've got those things sorted then I wouldn't bother with a pond
-
Re: I was looking at a storm
by james (Member 225275) on 19-Aug-08

The rest of their output was absolute gash though. Junior Vasquez did quite a good mix of 'Padlock'.

Re: I quite liked

She just emptied one of the bins in the front yard of water and in the process a river of bin juice has gone down my steps. She was also just going to leave the rubbish that fell out on the floor too 'til I banged on the window.
-
Re: Is Freshkid around?

Which is the worst thing about her? The fact that she is fucking, the fact that she is stupid, the fact that she is oriental or the fact that she is a woman?
