lonely in need of loving by gilf (Member 10245596) on 12-Mar-2010
Is there a man out there who can satisfy my needs? I am an interesting widow in my early sixties, and I am still young at heart. I am looking for a local man to keep me warm at night. The best way to find me is via the www dateagranny dot com web site - I would rather you find me there than email me directly - I hope you understand. Sylvia x

Grove Hall Hotel by Jan Chinnery (Member 10115362) on 1-Apr-2008
Does anyone remember Grove Hall Hotel which burned down sometime in the 1970s. Are there any Press reports/photos of the event?
  • Re: Grove Hall Hotel by Antony Bristow (Member 10248251) on 30-May-2010
Yes, I remember it well. I and my parents lived there between 1943 and early 1945 when they were manager and manageress. I was very involved with Scouting Troops in the area. I learnt to drive in the grounds.
I'm sorry to learn that it burnt down.
    Regards. Antony Bristow

I remember playing over at grove hall when the building was left derelict in the 70's. It was very spooky. At night when we were to scared to go up there you could see candle light from the very top window. Rumour had it, it was a mass murderer up there.
