Record Shops
  • mark one
  • RP Music was cool. They had a bit of everything. Shame they closed. The guys that worked there were ok knew their stuff. If anyone knows where Pete is now please let me know? I know where Rich is, hi if you read this.
  • Amazon - lol
  • In answer to a previous email, Mark One Records sadly packed up in 1993. We called it a day when the last recession was in full flight. Thank you to all our old customers (who must be getting older by the day!) Mark and Keith x
  • no record shops, but sound machine in readig is a really good specialist shop
  • reading
  • RM Music used to be good before it turned into Wishes N Kisses, tesco is the cheapest for CDS!
  • what ever happened to mark one?
  • RP has closed so now you have to go to woolies ! On the up, i saw one drum n bass compilation in there the other day ..
  • there is nothing now in wokingahm now that r p music has gone
  • Well RP music has closed and now theres bugger all except WHSmiths (who only have chart CD's and Woolies which isn't that great anyway, especially if your looking for an obscure band, I asked for Sepultura and the lady looked at me as if that was some sort of disease...)
  • R & P on Peach Street. In the vein of the old Mark One, which used to be next door to Woolworths and is now (yet another) mobile phone shop. (16/01/03)
  • Not too many music shops in town, best bet hop on the quick bus or train ride to Reading which is just down the road.
  • Not too many music shops in town, best bet hop on the quick bus or train ride to Reading which is just down the road.
  • RP music sells badges to! everybody loves badges!
  • RPM where owners of mobile discos go to get the latest venga boys re-mixes. And actually a quite good selection of other stuff slightly cheaper than your HMV's of this world. Apart from when they have a sale on, seems to be all the time these days.
  • The best record shop in town has to be rp music, which says a lot about this place really
  • ive goin rpmusic a a lot and i think they r ok .me and my friends think they got better than they used to be.they always get the new stuff.
  • not bad i spose still there better than woolies n smiths at least they know what there on about rather than the old dears n no hopers at woolies n smiths.used to go to abcd`s in bracknell but they were useless now there closed-no suprise there
  • Bah! decent shops in wokingham.... you've got to be kidding!
  • Bargains galore in the charity shops.
  • RP music wokingham not to hot at getting things in on time but got a good selection of badges and pictures also if u time it right u can get the advertising posters free.
  • I use RPMUSIC they got alot better lately do loads of secondhand music now and t-shirts n stuff used to go to reading to that dodgy bloke in the arcade but not anymore i dont get ripped off at rpm
  • RPMusic, small, but not bad
  • RPMusic, excellent for djs wanting latest releases, also sells cheasy old tunes that dont exist in any other recoird shop in the country
  • there is one but it dont matter cos no one whos got a life buys music
  • RP Music sells CDs at prices that are too high - you can usually get them for a pound or two cheaper at Woolies, which, given that I buy loads of them, really adds up. Oh, you can always go and see the shifty bastards in the market who sometimes have loads of CDs. Too much Celine Dion and Michael Bolton illegal copies for my liking! For GREAT MUSIC, go to Reading to the SOUND MACHINE. There are two of them... on in the mall where Argos is, only it is upstairs. To get to the other, go out of the station, walk straight towards town but take a left down the HARRIS ARCADE after 200 yards. CD's are 12 pound or cheaper, even brand new ones, and they have loads of great LPs and deleted stuff at fabulous prices. Brilliant! Oh, and the bloke in the Harris Arcade in the furry jacket is an encyclopoedia. I mean it. Anything! I have tested it!
  • RP music is quality, on a saturday u can visit them when they r all caned!!
  • RP Music is excellent and Wokingham's idea of a record shop. Bracknell's idea of a record shop is one that sets out to find the young mother with the record number of kids by different fathers.
  • RP Music is good as you don't have to into Smiths and ask the old lady for "Smack My Bitch Up"
  • A record shop called RPMusic appeared in'95 but frankly it's disappointing. The prices are nothing to get excited about and it doesn't seem to cater for any particular marke t- dance, indie etc.
